Working on "come".
Kobuck likes his freedom so we need to teach him
that "come" can be a fun/good thing. We're using
treats and a clothesline tied to his collar... he drags it
behind him and we can catch it if he heads in the wrong
direction. The only time he got distracted was when two
people came to the gate to sell books (behind Jim).
Kobuck wiggled his way all the way over to say hello and got
sprayed by the sprinkler... he didn't care! I had to
get hold of the clothesline. The lady said, "Ooooh,
what a pretty dog!" I can't get over how gentle Kobuck
takes treats. We'll eventually use
come-touch-release-to-play-again to help reinforce come is a
good thing.
